What kind of tours does Zayan Travel offer?

At Zayan Travel we specialize in creating bespoke, private tours of Morocco, exclusively tailored for each guest.

Our customization process is a collaborative endeavor, where we work with you to plan a trip that perfectly aligns with your preferred travel dates, distinct interests, and unique travel style.

How does the booking process work?

It's as simple as 1, 2, 3: Discuss. Design. Book.

1. Discuss: Start by drawing inspiration from our sample Morocco tours and sharing the details of your dream trip with us. We will then match you with a dedicated travel expert who understands your travel aspirations.

2. Design: Next, you'll have one-on-one discussions with your personal travel expert. This consultation is entirely free, and you're under no obligation to commit.

3. Book: After your customized itinerary meets your satisfaction, finalize your plan by securing your spots. Your travel expert will take care of your booking logistics - from hotels and transportation to local guides, activities, and all other ground arrangements for your trip.

How do I secure my booking?

To secure your spots and allow us to start the arrangements for your trip, a deposit of $750 per person is required. This deposit allows us to start making necessary reservations for accommodations, transportation and activities.

Once we receive the deposit, we make all the arrangements and provide you with details of the booked hotels.

The balance is due 60 days before your arrival. Once we have received the full payment, we dispatch a comprehensive travel kit containing pertinent travel information and voucher.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • Interact (In-person only)
  • Diners
  • ACH Bank Transfer
  • ACH Direct Debit

What happens if I have an issue while in Morocco?

We provide every guest with our dedicated emergency contact number, which will connect you directly to your tour coordinator.

Your tour coordinators are available round-the-clock, and are well-equipped to address any unexpected issues you may encounter during your stay in Morocco. Their primary role is to ensure your trip runs smoothly and worry-free and they will offer immediate assistance with any problems you face. If necessary, they will also connect you with appropriate local resources or individuals who can further aid in resolving your situation.

Can I change one or more accommodations listed in your proposal?

Absolutely! We value your comfort and preferences. If there's a particular hotel you wish to include in your itinerary or if you want to change any existing accommodation, we'd be more than willing to adjust the plans accordingly.

What kind of transportation do you provide during your tours?

We prioritize your safety and comfort in our selection of transportation. For our tours, we use:

Mercedes Vito vans: These brand-new vehicles are perfect for private tours, comfortably seating 4 to 5 adults with their luggages.

Minibuses: For larger groups of six or more, we switch to our roomy minibuses that can accommodate 12 to 15 people.

Buses: For even larger groups, we provide modern, spacious buses to ensure everyone travels comfortably.

Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4s: When we're venturing into the Sahara desert or remote areas, we use these robust, state-of-the-art vehicles.

In all cases, our vehicles are well maintained, ensuring your safety and comfort.

Will our guide and driver be the same person?

In our tours, the driver and guide are not the same person.

Your driver is more than just a chauffeur; they're your host and trusted companion throughout your journey. They ensure your safety, answer your queries about Moroccan culture, and give you insights into local customs and areas.

For exploring ancient medinas and historical sights, we have certified city guides. In rural areas, our local guides invite you into their communities, offering a deeper understanding of their local customs and surroundings.

Should you want a professional tour guide for the whole tour, we can arrange it, though this comes with additional costs.

Will our driver speak English?

Absolutely! Our drivers are proficient in English and are skilled in providing you with an enriching travel experience. Many of our drivers have been with us for over a decade, a testament to their experience and expertise.

Should you need a driver fluent in Spanish, French, or any other language, we can certainly cater to this requirement.

How do I meet up with my driver?

We will provide you with a detailed document outlining the precise steps to seamlessly locate your driver. This will guide you right from your location to your designated meet- up point.

However, should any difficulties arise in finding your driver, don't hesitate to reach out to your dedicated local coordinator via the emergency contact number provided. Our coordinators are on standby 24/7 to ensure your journey remains smooth and worry- free.

What expenses come along with our private driver?

Your private driver's expenses are mostly covered in your tour package. This includes fuel, accommodation, meals, tolls, and any other costs incurred by the driver during your tour.

The only additional expense you might want to consider is a tip for their service, which is customary but not mandatory.

Even on your free days, your driver remains available to you. For your convenience, we'll provide you with the driver's name and contact details couple of weeks ahead of your tour, so you can reach out to them if needed.

Is it mandatory for all our tour participants to arrive simultaneously?

No, there's no need for everyone in your tour group to arrive at the same time. It's completely fine if participants arrive on different days or at different times - our driver will ensure everyone is picked up individually.

We can provide recommendations based on the diverse arrival times of all parties. If any member of your family or group is set to arrive on a different day, please inform us.

We are always willing and ready to adjust the itinerary to accommodate their schedule.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs or allergies during the tour?

Be it vegan, kosher, or allergy-related diets like gluten-free, we will make the necessary arrangements to ensure your dietary needs are met throughout the tour.

All you need to do is inform us in advance about your dietary preferences or restrictions so that you can enjoy the diverse Moroccan cuisine worry-free.

Can I do laundry during my travels?

Indeed, you can! Many hotels in Morocco offer laundry services. If not, we will guide you to a nearby laundromat where you can have your laundry done for a small fee.

We recommend you doing laundry in cities where you'll be spending multiple nights for convenience.

Do you also arrange airfare if requested?

While we recognize the importance of air travel in your journey, our expertise is concentrated on ensuring your ground arrangements in Morocco are exceptional. This focus allows us to curate the best possible experience for you.

Do I need a visa to enter Morocco?

Well, it depends.

Passport holders from the United States, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, or Hong Kong can enter Morocco without a visa.

Israeli travelers are required to have a visa to travel to Morocco, which they can apply for online https://www.acces-maroc.ma

For those from other countries, a visa may be necessary. We suggest checking with your local consulate or refer to us directly for accurate information.

What is the best way to get money in Morocco?

ATMs are readily available across Morocco, serving as the best way to obtain Moroccan currency. These ATMs accept a variety of cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Cirrus, Maestro, Electron, and InterBank systems, with some banks also accepting American Express.

These machines will dispense no more than Dh2000 per transaction (US $200).

It's common for hotels, restaurants, and businesses in tourist-populated cities to accept major credit cards, but keep in mind a 3 to 5% charge might apply.

Despite this, it's recommended to always have some cash at hand. This would be particularly useful for small expenses such as taxi fares and minor tips during your stay in Morocco.

Is travel insurance necessary for my trip to Morocco?

While it is not mandatory required to have travel insurance when visiting Morocco, it is strongly advised to have coverage in case of unexpected events such as health issues, injury, trip cancellation, or loss of personal belongings.

Essentially, having travel insurance is a prudent step to safeguard both your financial and medical wellbeing during your travels.

Is it safe to travel to Morocco?

Yes, Morocco is widely recognized as a safe country to visit. Renowned for its stability, it stands as one of the most secure countries in North Africa and the Middle East. The locals are famously hospitable and tolerant, often making travelers feel right at home.

However, as with any travel destination, it's wise to be mindful and respectful of local traditions and customs to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience throughout your journey.
